PATRICK CONSEIL

Born and raised in France, Patrick Conseil moved to London at age 18. He worked at A&M records for a few years, starting in the mail room abd quickly working his way up to the position of A&R manager. He signed Austrian pop artist Falco in 83 and scored a number 1 hit in 19 countries with 'der Kommissar.' Falco's 'Rock Me Amadeus' was also a worldwide hit in 1985.

After a short stunt consulting for Italian firms Creamus and CGD, Conseil moved to NYC and his management firm at that time (Modus Operandi) represented 3 acts He was able to secure publishing deals and record deal for them all.

He started consulting for Warner Chappell music in the mid 90s and his primary function was to secured US deals for various European acts signed to the publishing giant. Among the releases he secured were La Bouche, Captain Hollywood, Corona, B Tribe, Jennifer Paige, Robert Miles, Culture Beat. Soon after Warner Chappell asked him to join the company full time. Conseil held the position of VP of creative and International for 14 years. He continued to help artist get US deals such as Billie Ray Martin, Amber, Underworld and Dido and signed the following acts: Roger Sanchez, Moby, Janita, Lamya, Republica, Warren G, Pay the girl ,and help develop the careers of writers he signed such as Swedish writers /producers Epicenter, Random and Twin the Berman Brothers, Cosgrove and Clark, with whom he scored the worldwide hit ‘Crush’ by Jennifer Page and many cuts of the platinum Dreamstreet album. He secured over 200 cuts in all music genres internationally while in his position at WC with acts as diverse as Ricky Martin, Laura Pausini, LMT, Soren Sko, Nana Mouskouri, 'N sync, CHER, A Teens, L5, Baby do Brazil, Jakarta.

He left at the end of 2003 and after a year off went to run creative for latin music publisher Eman enterprises in Miami. He arranged a network of sub publishers for the company while developing the 7 contracted writers. Although not working for the company any longer, Conseil still pitches the catalogue and has secured close to 30 cuts to date in the Latin market and a few more in Anglo (about Eman).

Conseil created his consulting/publishing company Pure Pop music inc in 2007 and his first signing was a JV with Air Chrysalis scand. for urban pop writer G White. That same year Conseil signed Latin hit writer Juan Carlos Perez Soto, whose agreement terminated with Eman , built a new catalogue of songs , from setting up major co writes and signed him to a co pub deal with Emi MusicPublishing (see writer bio) Conseil consulted for Denise Rich Songs/785 publishing in 2007-2008 in terms of writer relations and song plugging 2009.

In late 2007 Universal records France hired Conseil/Pure Pop as a creative consultant on the Florent Pagny Spanish language album project . 14 songs were selected for what became the number 1 record entitled AMAR Y AMAR , produced by Julio Reyes and released in 2009. The album number is now certified double platinum there and received amazing press.

The lastest signing to Pure pop is electrop pop artist and bi lingual writer TROY whose debut single is out now .(see writer bio) The single Best Friend’s girlfriend is written with Dimitri Ehlich (Shapiro Bernstein) and Jeff Hanc (also published by pure pop bmi dba delapop) and produced by Swedish Team Hitman.

The publisher also works with writers Steve Walsh and Maria Christiansen (see writers bios) and looking to join forces on both with a major publisher.

January 2010 Conseil started as international creative consultant for Razor and tie music publishing.

Conseil is based in NYC city and Miami.
